The UK country representatives have joined forces to organise the first meeting of the EWDA SC, entitled “Working with wildlife”! It will take place in London (RVC), on the 29th october, and you still have four days left to register. The professional organisation and relevance of the topics was acknowledged with a small grant to which all country representatives can apply, to support travel cost of speakers.
Please find the symposium announcement below:
“Want to work in the field of wildlife health? Curious as to what’s involved and how to move forwards? Hear from six speakers across a diverse range of expertises, including:
Alex Barlow – Wildlife Health Surveillance
Anna Meredith – Wildlife Health in Practice
Vic Simpson – Wildlife Pathology
Becki Lawson – Citizen Science in Wildlife Studies
Ruth Cromie – Wildlife and Policy
Rob Deaville – Marine Health
We will also have a short introduction to the association from Lisa Yon, outgoing EWDA president, as well as an open discussion forum with our speakers on “Careers in Wildlife Health”.
The meeting will be a great opportunity to learn more about what is going on today in wildlife health, but also to learn about the EWDA and tell us what you want from the chapter.
Lunch and snacks will be provided throughout the day. For those keen to mingle after the event there will be an informal social event immediately after our day finishes, where we will all have a chance to chat over a drink (drinks not included in ticket price).
We are looking forward to meeting you all!
