The EWDA Student Mixer is organized every two years during the conference of the European Wildlife Disease Association. It aims at connecting students from across Europe and develop international relationships in a relaxed atmosphere!
The First EWDA Student Mixer was organized on the day before the first day of the VIIth conference of the EWDA in the Aosta Valley, Italy, in September 2006. A group of students gathered for a hike to Lake Serve in the National Park of Mont Avic.

The Second EWDA Student Mixer was organized on the day before the first day of the VIIIth conference of the EWDA in Rovinj, Croatia, in October 2008. A (growing!) group of students had fun under the sun, on the beach, along the blue Adriatic!

The Third EWDA Student Mixer was a multi-event taking place at and around the 9th EWDA conference, on Vlieland, the Netherlands (Sept. 13 to 16, 2010). It included:
- a 4-hour student workshop taught by Prof. Christian Gortazar
- a student mixer around drinks and snacks
- a meet-the-professors session during the conference
The Fourth Student-mixer took place in Berlin, at the 12th EWDA Conference venue, the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (Diedersdorfer Weg 1, 12277, Marienfelde), on the 30th august 2016. In a relaxed environment, around 50 students had the opportunity to share their thoughts with professionals working on different fields of wildlife health, to whom we are thankful for their collaboration and enthusiasm.
